NW London claimed all three points at home to St Margaretsbury in a dramatic late comeback.
Despite sitting at the bottom of the table, St Margaretsbury arrived with just seven points separating them from NW London before kick-off. The game started at a high tempo, with Gomes winning the ball from a high press, only to fire his effort wide.
St Margaretsbury responded strongly, creating two dangerous opportunities to go ahead. However, their attempts were thwarted both times by NW London goalkeeper Levchuk, who made two crucial smothering saves to deny the visitors.
NW London soon regained control of the game, displaying the attacking prowess that had been missing from their recent league performances. Gomes was unlucky not to score, denied twice by the St Margaretsbury goalkeeper. Balde, making his first start in two months, also had a chance after a flowing team move but could only fire straight at the keeper.
The second half began in much the same fashion, with NW London pushing forward in search of the opening goal. However, it was St Margaretsbury who struck first in the 63rd minute. A failed clearance from NW London allowed Paul Otim to volley home from a corner, putting the visitors 1-0 up.
With time running out, NW London made three substitutions, one of which proved pivotal. Tryczynski, coming off the bench, flicked on a long throw for captain Allen, who volleyed home to level the score with just 7 minutes remaining.
The late equalizer seemed to fuel NW London's momentum. Just two minutes later, a perfectly weighted pass from Al-Nashi put Kai Peters through on goal. Peters bundled the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper to spark jubilant celebrations and secure a dramatic 2-1 victory for NW London.
