20-year-old Valentin Burcea has been named our second Player of the Month for the 2024-2025 season.
Since returning to the squad after a month-long absence, Burcea has made an immediate impact, finishing the month with 5 assists in 5 games. Now thriving in a holding midfield role, manager Wasim Khan commended his recent performances.
“This is his third season and what you have now is a young player, very intelligent in his decision making who reads the play very well and has excellent timing in his pass“
“The plan for him was always to play in midfield, however initially he broke into the team at full back and out wide, you can get an education of certain aspects of the game, that help you once you play in the middle”
The Player of the Month award for August went to Nathaniel Binney, who recently completed a move to top-of-the-table side Hackney Wick.
